Project Turning Blank - Ocelot
The fun, eye-popping colored project blanks are excellent for ice cream scoops, pizza cutters, bottle openers, duck calls, bottle stoppers, and much more! The darkest of our big cat patterns and the only one representing the Americas. The ocelot's tawny coat, with its many dark spots, is perfectly represented.
The blanks can be a little more difficult to master than standard AA. As with most resins and plastics, we recommend using a scraping tool such as the Easy Pen Turner or a negative rake scraper when turning for a smooth, non-aggressive cut that will produce optimum results. Then sand the blanks to 600 grit, and then wet-sand them using Micro-Mesh to achieve a high gloss mirrored polish.
