We stock a range of lathe tool rests including our Flat Top Modular Tool Rests, designed specifically for carbide tools: the flat top pairs cleanly with the flat bottom of carbide handles for stable, horizontal cuts. The modular system uses a vertical post and a horizontal flat-top bar that thread together, so you can mix lengths to fit any project without buying a whole new rest. Built from W-1 precision-ground tool steel; a light coat of wax now and then keeps the surface gliding.
