Hi Bryan! These are made for the Bolt Action Tec Pen Kit. That kit already has a threaded cap nut embedded into the cap of the pen kit. You just unscrew the existing cap off and screw this stylus on in its place. No additional cap nut is necessary. Hope that helps! Dawn
