Has some very brittle spots so had chip out issues along the way. Had to go very very painfully slowly with a sharp carbide cutter. Not a very attractive finished product either.

Just want to tell everyone that I have made a pen from each of these new materials. The gold or silver flakes do not interfere with your turning, they cut clean and do not NEED any CA treatment along the way. I sanded with 400-600-1000 grit and then buffed with the tripoli and then white diamond buffing wheels. They looked good- Ed

This tended to want to "rip" easily. That's no problem for me because I like to get the material off as quickly as possible. My hands were covered with red dust.rnFinished very easily.rnMy wife loves these blanks. Even though I'm a wood guy, I like them too.rn
