Raffir Stripes is a composite material based on intensely colored resin combined with organic materials. The semi-transparent resin gives a sense of 3D depth to the material, with the "stripes" create flaming like patterns.
Raffir is suitable for various fine crafts and luxury products. It is already very popular as a knife handle material and in jewelry. Now, Exotics brings this unique and beautiful material to you for your high-end and unique pen creations.
This material is easily machined with normal tools for wood or plastic. A beautiful high-gloss finish can be obtained with polishing. As the resin is transparent, we suggest reverse painting the inside of the blank and a top finish coat such as Gluboost
This acrylic is fairly dense, and sharp tools and a light touch is suggested. Turning experience is also suggested.
