Purple Orchid Rotacrylic Pen Blanks
The Purple Orchid Pen Blank! This flower, almost as much as the rose, is associated with love and beauty. It has also come to symbolize refinement, thoughtfulness and mature charm. Orchids have become one of the major commercial flowers in the world. Buyers, Growers and collectors will bid hundreds of dollars on new or rare and exotic hybrids. With their heavenly scent and exotic forms, orchids have become one of most popular cut flowers in the world.
This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re cast, in resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.
The blank will fit a mid size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc) Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some blue fill and CA or epoxy. Painted tubes are recommended.
Each blank in the set is approx 3/4" in diameter x 4" long. There is an "indent" in each end of each blank where it was held by the CNC. This is a great centering guide for your drill bit.
