Pets on Parade Rotacrylic Pen Blank - Shih Tzu

This is one in a series of new blanks dedicated to those faithful companions that fill our lives with warmth and joy.

The Shih Tzu, also known as the Chrysanthemum Dog, is considered a toy dog breed. The exact origins of the breed are unknown, but it is thought to have originated in Tibet and then been developed in China. The breed has a personality and temperament that is loyal, affectionate, outgoing, and alert. And because of its friendly nature, the Shih Tzu tends to interact well with other dogs and with children and adults. The Shih Tzu is a sturdy little dog with a short muzzle and large dark eyes and together with their soft and long double coat can give an almost "stuffed animal" like appearance. The Shiih Tzu is ranked as the 15th most popular breed in the US. This blank will fit any mid size pen, and is a great way to show your love and support for this amazing breed!

This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re cast. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.

The blank will fit a mid size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc).  Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the sanding dust and CA or colored epoxy.

White painted tubes are a must with this blank.
