    Also, does it indeed need a 7.5mm drill bit?

    Yes, te kit takes a 7.5mm bit if you are going to drill a blank. These kits were designed for Polymer clay applications (no drill required), and have a special threaded tube. You can still use them for turning, but they need a 7.5mm bit.

    I am thinking of buying these because they use the parker refill, but the instructions say it uses a cross refill. Which refill does it use?

    It uses a cross-refill. For a similar-sized pen that takes a Parker you may want to look at the Diana Series or the Slimline Pro series
