Stars and Stripes Inlay Kits - Special Anniversary Edition - Bolt Action
When Ken showed us his original prototype pen (above) for the Stars and Stripes pen kit we fell in love with it. There was just something very compelling about the natural tones. We asked Ken if he would make us up this special Stars and Stripes edition to commemorate the 15th anniversary of this pen. To make the kit identical to the original prototype that he debuted back in 2003 on the Yahoo Penturners Group. This is not only the original stars and stripes inlay pen, but it is the absolute first. And one that hasn't been seen for 15 years!

Your kit will include an upper barrel portion made from maple, laser cut to fit 50 stars and a barrel section made from maple laser cut to fit 7 waving stripes. The stars and contrasting 7 stripes are also laser cut, from Myrtlewood or Koa.
There are extra stars with each kit in case some get lost.The barrels are turned slightly oversized because once the stars and stripes are glued in, you'll put the barrels back on the lathe for final clean-up and finishing. An instruction sheet is included. Some of the pieces in this kit are quite small! These kits are rated a 3 in difficulty level.
