These 5" rods are a strong 20mm (.8 inches) in diameter. These blanks can be somewhat translucent, painting your tubes is recommended.
3/4 x 5 is a pretty standard size for a pen blank. It will most all pen kits. (Except for perhaps the very largest desk-style kits).
