Label/Tube-In HDPE Resin Casting Mold.

This high-quality and professionally machined HDPE label resin casting mold allows you to cast up to 4 different pen blanks at the same time.

Use without the stoppers as a regular HDPE pen blank mold. Or use the silicone stoppers to make tube-in clear cast blanks. Stoppers are tapered and will accommodate a wide range of kits, Gone are the days that you will need a mold for every model of pen kit!

With the high-quality silicone stoppers, you are also able to stack the molds in your pressure pot neatly and conveniently for ease of use.

This mold comes with 8 silicone stoppers that will accommodate brass tubes that range anywhere from the smaller kits (8mm) to full-size ones. The HDPE mold measures 4 5/8 x 7 x 1", with each of the 4 cavities measuring 3/4" x 5 7/8".

A mold release (such as Stoner's) is not required but is recommended for easier de-molding. Extra stoppers will be available separately.

Exactly what I was looking for, I want to save every penny I can with resin and this will do the trick. Will cut way back on cut off resin blanks.

I was lucky enough to get one of these before they were sold out. I tried it a couple of days after I received it and here is what I think. I liked how easy it was to get my tubes into the mold, I didn't have to struggle with ensuring that the plugs were fully inserted like with other molds. I figured when I bought it that I would have to turn it upside down and play "Whack a Mold" with it to get the blanks out. The issue I did have with it was my own fault. I placed one of the plugs at the end of the cavity so I was unable to remove it after casting before getting the blank out. I ended up ruining a blank figuring out how to get it out. So if you decide to get this mold center your blank so you can get both plugs out. If you don't then you will have to try and pry them out. What I liked: Easy to get the tube in, can do may type of pen tube that fits the stoppers, What I didn't like: I uses more a little more resin than my other molds, slide real easily on my HTPE pot rack. Would I get another. Yeah if they ever are in stock long enough :)

What is the best way to remove stuck blanks from this mold? I forgot to use mold release.

Lol, btdt, have the T-shirt! ..A few “good” taps on the bottom of the mold with a rubber mallet should do the trick!

    Hi. 2 questions
1- so with the stoppers, you just pour in between the 2 stoppers and the resin remains just between stoppers? Doesnt leak out passed into the rest of cavity?
2- i see that someone asked if works for the 7mm slimline pens and the answer was no. But in the description it says it does work with slimline. Can you clarify

    Thank you

    Hi Wil,

Yes, you pour the resin between the two stoppers which hold the brass tube. The stoppers are slightly oversize and when seated properly, will expand to prevent the resin from leaking into the rest of the cavity.

Sorry for the confusion, since then taper of the stoppers have been modified so that they will accept a 7mm tube.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Dawn,
When using these molds with the stoppers, how many of them can be stacked in a 2.5 gallon pot??

    Hi Mike!

2.5 gal??? Hey, I thought that you had a couple of 20 gallon!

Seriously, Not all 2.5 gal pots are created equal, so it kinda depends on what you one have. (IE my Harbor freight pots are taller than my Binks, and both of those are quite a bit taller than my CA Tech Pots etc.. ) ....So..The bottom of the mold to the top of the installed stoppers mics out at 1.70. That should help in figuring how many will fit! :)

Any Idea when stoppers are going to be available. For the last two mold I bought I receive two sets of medium and two sets of small stoppers. Meaning I could only make two tubes of each size per mold.
