Join Tim as he walks you through the process of creating a bowl from a tree. Starting in the woods you will learn which trees to harvest, how to safely use a chainsaw and how to prepare the wood for the trip home. Once back at the shop Tim shows you how to use the bandsaw to round the wood into a bowl blank ready to turn. Then he demonstrates how to turn the green blank and how to dry it for final turning. Once the blank is dried Tim shows you how to use the bowl gouge and a heavy scraper to complete the turning of the bowl. Throughout the DVD Tim provides tips and techniques along with a healthy dose of his quirky humor.

If you are not familiar with Tim, he was the host and producer of the Emmy winning Woodturning Workshop seen nationwide on PBS stations.
