Hi Jason, I think that you are confusing a nib with a feed section. The nib has little little to do with the converter. The converter attaches to the pens plastic (or ebonite) feed section, usually via a pressure fit. Schmidt converters are made to be fairly universal and will fit most feeds. But the may be some that they may not. If you have a housing in the outside of the feed ( grip part - usually metal) you need to account for its size for fit as well.
