What would happen if I used this product on a basic wood pen blank

What is basic wood? I have not tried it on softer woods, but I know some have tried it on harder dense woods like gaboon ebony with success. It does beautifully on harder surfaces, like CA, acrylics, and stabilized woods.

Can it be applied to basic hardwood and cedar or pine

I have not tried it on softer woods as it is really recommended for hard surfaces, But I know some have tried it on harder dense woods like gaboon ebony with success. It does perform beautifully on harder surfaces, like CA, acrylics, and stabilized woods.
