Please note: These blanks come cast in clear polyester resin. As with all polyester casting resin, there may be some exterior "stickiness" of the unturned blank. This is normal for PR and will turn off. It will not affect the turning or the finished blank. These blanks will require sharp tools and a light touch and are suggested for experienced turners.  Please inspect the blank for cracks or other problems before starting to turn. We apologize, but blanks that are "blown up" are not returnable.

As with most "tube-on' casts, we do not recommend using a pen mill. You can see how to "face" using sandpaper in our "how-to video"  by clicking here.

One upper and one lower blank in a set - sold per set.

What is the brass tube size (ie. 8 mm, 7 mm, 10 mm, 3/8 "), and could you make some custom ones with a 3/8" tube?

    Thanks

    Hi Michael,

These blanks are kit specific. They are made directly onto the tubes from Cigar pen kits, and are made to fit the Cigar kits. (Cigar tubes measure 0.385 x 1.91 (cap) and 0.385 x 2.09 (body) )

We do not make the CB blanks. The ones you see here and are familiar with, are imported. But we are working with John Underhill (one of our artists/partners) and also Berea Hardwoods, so stay tuned.
