NEW from Jeff Powell! The Bonsai Pen Blank now in a new color!

Bonsai is a Japanese art form using miniature trees grown in containers. The purpose of which is primarily contemplation for the viewer, and the pleasant exercise of effort and ingenuity for the grower. Contrary to popular belief, Bonsai does not require genetically dwarfed trees but rather depends on growing small trees from regular, normal sized stock. Bonsai uses artful cultivation techniques like pruning, root reduction, potting, defoliation, and grafting to produce small trees that mimic the shape and style of mature, full-size trees.

This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was recast, in copper resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.

The pen blank will fit any mid-size pen kit (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc)  Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the sanding dust and CA or epoxy.

Painted tubes/reverse painting is suggested.
