    The boat action pen kit that I have from Penn State industries that I need a replacement spring for is a tapered spring. What are these because the picture does not look like a tapered spring?

    These springs are for the 30 cal bolt action pen kits. At the time of this writing, the actual spring that comes in the BA kits is not tapered, Only the instructions show it as tapered.
