Armed Forces Rotacrylic Pen Blanks - Marines (Red).

This is the first in a series of pen blanks to celebrate all who served the US armed forces. This one is for The Marines. The blank is made from a base of a hand-poured red alumilite resin accented with a touch of black. It will fit any mid-size pen.

This amazing workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was recast in white resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.

The pen blank will fit a mid-size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc.).  Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy. These pen blanks have been precision cut on a computer-controlled multi-axis CNC. The image depth on the blank does not vary. But you need to drill straight and in the center of the blank (there are two pilot holes started for you) or the image on the blank will be off-center and will turn away as you turn the blank down.

Please refer to the provided instructions. Painted tubes are recommended.

Was a bit skeptical when purchasing but oh my.
Easiest blank I have turned so far and have turned a couple hundred of them.

This is such a nice blank. It turns like butter and is cast well. Any Marine would love to have it.

I made a pen with this blank for a pen for my son in law who served in Iraq. It was a very special project.

Can this blank be used in a wallstreet2 pen ? Is there too much waste? Only 4 “ long, can I get two out of this blank ?

Hi Jeff, We recommend that the Rotacrylics be bused on kits that are 1/2" in diameter or larger. With this particular blank, the image "wraps" a lot, so that larger diameter is even more important to adhere to, or you run the risk of turning off the image.
The blanks are roughly 4" long. The image is only on 1 of the two provided blanks, as they are normally used for pen kits that have two tubes.

Hi Sara! Yep, the Jr Gent ballpoint would work just fine! The Jr's are one of the kits that this was made for. Nice job!!
