Evergreen Mountain Art Glass

Pen making was never a hobby for Gerry and Laurie Wilhite, it started out as a side hustle, doing a few local craft shows. Soon attending and selling at top-tier art fairs it turned into a business. That was more than ten years ago and they continue to grow the business by touring the country and selling at 25-30 art shows annually.  In addition to the art show circuit, they now sell to galleries, wholesale accounts, online and to corporate gift buyers.

Laurie and Gerry's product offering has also expanded beyond pens. Glass pen holders have been one of the mainstays of their product mix for nearly 10 years. They have created these unique glass pen holders in colors that match the pens that they sell.

The glass crafting starts with clear glass heated to more than 2,200 degrees. The glass is gathered on a rod, then rolled in crumbled glass (frit) which is torched in before gathering another layer of clear glass and even more colors. After repeating the process multiple times, the gather is dropped on to a steel plate and a long string is drawn out and wound around the rod to form the holder. The glass holder is then placed into a heated kiln and slowly cooled for many hours (annealed) to form the beautiful art glass pen holders that you see below.

Whether you match your pen, complement or contrast... anyway you choose, these art glass pen holders will make a beautiful way to display your handmade pen creations!

The Standard Size pen holders will comfortably hold anything up to a Sierra size pen.

The Large Size holders are meant for the larger ballpoints (Cigar sized), Rollerballs and Fountains.
