Ecker's Poly Resin Blanks (EPR)

After retiring from the Army in 2002, my wife and I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. My uncle visited one day and we need something to do so we went out and bought a Delta mini lathe. We turned all day and I have been hooked ever sense. After turning pens and small bowls I thought of a bigger project idea and glued up a large pieces of pine boards, which just barely fit on my mini lathe. Well after about 7 minutes of uncontrollable vibration I noticed my motor was smoking and was pretty hot. Well, it was the end of that lathe. Then I bought a Powermatic, and have never looked back!
I later ran into Ed Davidson at our Local wood turners club. He introduced me to Polyester resin casting. Ed no longer had the desire to cast and wanted to move on to other things (like his trademark yoyos). So Ed asked me if I would be interested in taking over his casting. I said I'd try. So for 4 years I was deep into casting but shortly there after I just lost the casting bug. Then one day I ran into Exotic Blanks and had a chance to talk with Ed Brown. Ed remembered my earlier work was excited to the have the opportunity to have me on his site. So after several years, I finally found my enthusiasm returning, and EPR is now back on the shelves!
