From Jeff Powell! A bulldog is drawn in dramatic outline. The bulldog is outlined in white against a deep brown & black swirled backdrop - The Bulldog is even adorned with a spiked collar! What a perfect pen for the dog lover or sports fan!
This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re cast, in resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.
The blank will fit a mid size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc) Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy. Painted tubes are recommended.
The rotacrylics are NOT pre-drilled, so you can use any size tube you wish, as long as the hole is dead center on the blank. The "picture" will look good on any pen with a finished diameter in excess of one-half inch. If the finished pen is thinner than this, details of the "picture" can start to disappear (in reality you are turning them off). The bolt action instructions tell you that the bushing is .425 inches--clearly less than .50, so we would not advise using any rotacrylic for that pen style. Ed
