Gossamer Red

Gossamer wisps of a black vaporous silk that is trapped in a transparent ruby matrix. These are the only words to describe this blank! It is very alluring, sexy... and oh, so see through!

We believe, but can not confirm, that this is an older material called Prystal - a derivative of bakelite. Regardless, this intriguing and beautiful blank will make a memorable pen or a unique dip pen that will command attention on any desk! This blank comes as a rod that  measures approximately 5 1/2 " long and 1" in diameter.

Given the transparency of the Gossamer Red, it is recommended for experienced turners using colored tubes. Also avoid using CA on or with this material. Epoxy or gorilla glue is recommended.
