Can this grinder be used with salt?

    Hi Dan!

ANY peppermill will grind salt, as well. However, as you undoubtedly know, salt is corrosive.

This peppermill mechanism is ceramic, but the shaft that extends from the handle to the mechanism is metal. I cannot tell whether it is anodized, so I can't tell you for certain what effect salt will have on it.

So, the best answer I can give is a definite maybe!!

Yes, it CAN be used with salt, but it may start to corrode and look bad, over the years.
