Ed Brown

"The resinator" was originally Ed Brown.  Started making things on the lathe in the mid-1990's.  At that time, the penmaking industry offered a half dozen "component sets" or "kits".  And, since the Chicago market was also home to other pen turners, Ed drifted into the "dark side" - the "plastics".  In those days, this meant mostly acrylics and HARD plastics. Few turners wanted to use them.

Over the next decade, as more types of resins became available, Ed continued to expand the product line he presented at art and craft shows (shown above).  In 2004, Ed started working with a European supplier to purchase the "cat" blanks, that are now part of this site.  As other turners tried these, there was a growing demand for other, more unusual materials.  This was the origin of the small business that we are now presenting to you as "www.exoticblanks.com"

Ed is always happy to help other turners.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail, through our "contact us" page. Or you can contact Ed directly at turning@exoticblanks.com

Good turning to you - Have FUN!!!
